'Los Cabos' is the collective term for the region at the 'Land's
End' of Baja California, the longest peninsular in the world. It
stretches from Cabo San Lucas to San Jose del Cabo and includes
the 30 km. coastal corridor between them. Development within Los
Cabos will inevitably encompass the adjoining East Cape (100 km.
along the shore of the Sea of Cortez as far as La Paz), the Pacific
north of Cabo, and will also include the satellite town of Todos
Santos, already a burgeoning artist's community.
The
district possesses a near-perfect climate, being almost tropical
in its temperature but with a predominantly dry atmosphere. On average
the sun shines for more than 320 days a year. The landscape is characterized
by an arid forest of hardy plants and cactus. The water temperature
is equally inviting year-round (ave. 24C / 75F).
